Beijing, August 18 (Xinhua) - The National Observatory of China issued a yellow alert for drought when the hot waves sweep up through large parts of the country.

The observatory advised these regions to be attentive to weather changes and produce artificial rain when necessary. He also warned about the risks of forest fires.
