Who knew that a Hollywood star could go from red carpets to dirt roads? Not me! But, lo and behold, this famous actor decided to ditch the luxurious lifestyle and join the Peace Corps in China. For two whole years, they lived amongst the locals in a rural village in Sichuan province, and boy, was it a ride. From learning how to farm to mastering the art of chopsticks, this actor truly immersed themselves in a whole new culture. And let's not forget about the language barrier - imagine trying to order food and accidentally asking for a horse instead of a chicken. Yup, that happened. But all in all, it was a "life-changing" experience that opened their eyes to a whole new world.

Well, well, well, look who decided to ditch their cozy suburban life and slum it up in a mud-brick house! From the moment I arrived in this remote village, I knew I was in for a wild ride. No electricity? No running water? What is this, the 1800s? But you know what? I soon realized that living off the grid has its perks. I mean, who needs Netflix when you have a sky full of stars to stare at? And forget about takeout, nothing beats a meal cooked over an open flame. Plus, I got to teach English to some of the kindest people I've ever met and work on community projects that actually make a difference. It's safe to say that my time in this village was one for the books.
